All Licking County Family YMCA owned and managed facilities are family organizations. We ask that our members and guests wear family appropriate clothing while in the facility. Please do not wear shirts displaying beer ads, cigarette ads, inappropriate designs, or offensive comments. Participants are asked to wear a shirt and shoes at all times when inside any building. Please refer to each departmental policies for additional requirements.
Personal Conduct
The Core Values Code of Conduct was established to educate YMCA members in acceptable behavior and conduct, by incorporating the YMCA Core Values program of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Disruptive behavior, vandalism, misuse of equipment or the building is not permitted and will not be tolerated. Use of profanity or abusive language is prohibited. Conduct is subject to review by YMCA staff. Actions are reviewed on an individual basis. Violation of these policies may result in the immediate removal from the building or suspension of an individual's membership until the incident is reviewed.
As stated in the constitution and bylaws of the Licking County Family YMCA, LCFYMCA has the right to refuse or terminate membership when said membership conflicts with the values and principles of the LCFYMCA mission: to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Below are some examples of acceptable positive behaviors in our facility as well as unacceptable behaviors.

Insurance
The YMCA does not provide medical indemnity insurance. Use of the YMCA facilities and equipment is at your own risk.
In the event of an accident or injury, please contact a YMCA staff person immediately. If a staff person is unavailable, contact the Member Services desk.
The YMCA has first aid certified staff who can administer aid and assess emergency protocol. An accident report must be completed for any injury, accident or incident reported.
Smoking, Tobacco, Drug, Weapon & Alcohol
The Licking County Family YMCA and its facilities are a tobacco, alcohol, drug, and weapon free environment.
Parking
Please do not park in front of any of our facilities. These are fire lanes and can only be used for drop off and pick up. Unattended cars parked in this area are subject to being towed.
We have handicapped parking (permit must be visible) adjacent to the entrances to all of our facilities. Non-permitted vehicles are subject to being towed.
Please do not park on any unpaved areas. We have parking available on the north, east, and west sides of our main facility. Additional parking is also available behind Roll-a-way and at the outdoor pool.
Lost & Found
If you lose an item while at the YMCA, please check with the Member Services desk. Items of value will be kept safely at the front desk, while clothing, towels, and personal hygiene items will be in the lost and found room.
The Licking County Family YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please store all of your personal effects in a locked locker. Please leave any item of value at home or securely locked in your vehicle.
Rainbowland (babysitting)
RAINBOWLAND is a babysitting service that is free to full YMCA members and $2.00 per child/per visit for associate members. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and safe environment for your child(ren) while mom and dad are working out. We do not provide structured activities, but maintain an environment conducive to creativity. There is a maximum ninety minute visit limit. We have regularly scheduled staff to meet your child’s needs. Space is limited, so reservations are strongly recommended and may be made up to one week in advance.
There are two Rainbowland areas:
- Rainbowland - for children older children
- Little Rainbowland - for infants 8-weeks to toddlers
Please bring your membership ID and your child's membership ID with you. Sign-up is required.

Parent and child membership cards are required.
Maximum 90 minute limit. A $5 late fee (per child) can be accessed for every 10 minutes over.
Rainbowland cares for children starting from 8-weeks old to 10 years.
Please put your child’s name on any items brought into Rainbowland.
If your infant needs a bottle, all bottles must be labeled & pre-made upon arrival.
Please do not bring your child if he/she is sick. You may be asked to take your child home.
If your child is in need of a diaper change, you are responsible for changing your child. Our staff will make every effort possible to locate you based on the information provided at time of sign-in.
Pre-registration is necessary to ensure availability as space is limited. Reservations are cancelled automatically if you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your reserved time.
Children with discipline problems may be restricted from Rainbowland for a period of time.
Please be advised that all children are not developmentally ready to be with strangers. Our staff comforts each child needing assistance, but cannot focus on one child for extended periods.
Locker Rooms and Locker Rental
The Licking County Family YMCA has a variety of locker rooms available to meet our members needs.
Men's and Women's Locker Rooms
Our men's and women's locker rooms are provided for adult usage only (18 years of age and out of high school). Children and infants may not accompany parents into the locker room.
Our locker rooms offer a variety of amenities including a steam room, sauna, changing areas and day lockers. The larger lockers are for your use. We strongly recommend that you place a lock on your locker at all times. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Locks left on these lockers over night will be removed at the owners expense.
Female Family and Male Family Locker Rooms
The YMCA offers children and families shower and locker facilities in our family locker rooms. These locker room are for children under 18 years of age and their parents. We ask that boys over 5 years of age not use the Female Family locker room and the girls not be taken into the male family locker room at all. Lockers are provided for your day use. We strongly recommend that you place a lock on your locker at all times. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Locks left on these lockers over night will be removed at the owners expense.
Special Needs and Mixed Family Locker Rooms
The YMCA offers individuals needing special access or moms with sons and dads with daughters a locker room to make their Y experience more comfortable. Each family locker room has its own shower, restroom and lockers. We strongly recommend that you place a lock on your locker at all times. The YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Locks left on these lockers over night will be removed at the owners expense.
Use of cell phone cameras in any YMCA facility is prohibited.
Supervision of Children
Children are an integral part of the Licking County Family YMCA. Children 10 years of age and up are permitted to use YMCA facilities without adult supervision. Children under 10 years of age are required to have adult supervision (18 years of age or older) at all times.
Children 16 years of age and older are permitted to use the Health & Fitness center, walking track and participate in fitness classes (unless otherwise indicated).
Children found to be disruptive, disrespectful, or non-members may be asked to vacate the facility.
Photo Policy
Upon signing a membership to the Licking County Family YMCA, permission is given to this YMCA only to use any member's likeness for publicity, advertising, or promotion. Use of Licking County Family YMCA photos for any other purpose is expressly prohibited. Please contact the marketing director a 345-9622 for further information.
Health Consent Forms
All members are required to complete an Informed Consent Form and a Physical Activity Readiness - Questionnaire (PAR-Q) along with a membership application. These forms are to insure a safe and healthy experience for all of our members.
Food and Beverages
Food and beverages are not permitted in workout areas, gymnasiums, or pool areas. Water in a closed topped plastic bottle may be used. Food and beverages are permitted in the main lobby of the Y or designated areas.
Questions, Comments or Complaints
The Licking County Family YMCA and its staff are always happy to help improve the YMCA for our members. Questions, comments or complaints may be given to any member services staff, a comment card completed and returned to the front desk, or you may contact the department director directly. Please see the Staff section of our web page for contact information.
In the event of broken equipment or an emergency, please contact the nearest YMCA staff member or the front desk. Emergency intercoms are located in the men's and women's locker room and on the walking track.
Departmental Policies
Aquatics Guidelines
For everyone's safety, all members must obey the rules of the pool. Failure to do so may result in dismissal from the pool.
Pool schedules are available at the member services desk. Please check times and dates for open swim times.
Please take a soap shower before entering the pool.
We ask that participants wear only regulation swimsuits in our pools. We do not allow shorts, cut-offs, t-shirts or footwear. No shoes are permitted on either pool deck. Aquatic shoes are permitted.
The lifeguard must approve all water toys and floatation devices. Only U.S. Coast Guard approved floatation devices.
Diving is not permitted.
Food, beverages, smoking, and gum are not permitted in the pool area.
Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
Children still wearing diapers must wear a swim diaper in the pool.
Running and horseplay are not permitted.
Lap swimming is continuous, rest only at the ends of the lane. You may be asked to share lanes.
No one is permitted to use the pool who it ill or has open cuts or sores.
The indoor pools close when lightning is in the area.
Starting blocks are used for competitive swimming. They are not for use during open swim.
Health & Fitness Guidelines
Appropriate exercise attire is required in the fitness center. Tennis shoes or close-toed shoes, shorts/sweatpants, and t-shirts are acceptable. Please do not wear jeans.
Participants must be 14 years of age to enter the Health & Fitness Center.
Fitness assessments, orientations, and exercise prescriptions are available to members by appointment.
Limit use of equipment to 30 minutes. Sign-up is required for use of some cardiovascular equipment.
Members are responsible for wiping off equipment, seats, and benches with towels and disinfectant after each use.
Towels are available. Your membership card will be needed to obtain a towel.
Please perform an appropriate warm-up and cool-down prior to and after using equipment.
Return all weights to appropriate weight rack when finished using caution to ensure personal safety and equipment durability. Do not drop weights!
Be considerate of others. If you are performing more than one set on a machine, allow others to use the machine between sets.
Gymnasium Guidelines - Woody English, Knoll, and Schenk Courts
Street shoes or black-soled shoes are not permitted.
Food and drink are not permitted in any gymnasium.
Do not hang on the basketball rims.
Please share the space with others.
Please return all equipment to its proper location.
Emergency exit doors must remain closed at all times.
Indoor Track
Street shoes are not permitted on the track. Walking or running shoes are required.
Please follow all directional signs.
An adult must accompany any member under the age of 10.
Slower traffic should stay to the inside lane of the track.
No spitting.
Windows must remain closed at all times.
Do not hang from railing.
Strollers and wheelchairs are not permitted on the track.
Single file usage is recommended during peak hours.
Racquetball Courts
A reservation is required for the use of all racquetball courts. Reservations may be made at the Member Services desk up to one week in advance.
2. Court time is limited to one (1) hour. If you arrive before your court time, you may enter the court and start playing if the court is not being used.
Racquetballs are available for use at the Member Services desk. Limited racquets may also be available.
Unreserved courts are available on a "first come-first served" basis.
For your own safety, we recommend that all players wear protective eye wear.
